MEANINGFUL • MEMORABLE • MAGICAL • MOMENTUS Best for children ages 3 - 7. "At first there was the sound of faraway music. Then the little band appeared." The LIttle Band is an out-of-print, but delightful picture book showing children playing music as they meander through a town and disappear into the distance leaving townspeople wondering, "Who are they? Why have they come? Where are they going?" But, "long afterward, people remembered their beautiful faraway music. And nothing was ever the same again."

We'll learn the story of The Little Band, practice a few tunes, and become our own "little band," marching around your party location (neighborhood, park, etc.), bringing music to others.

What's included? - 30 minute read aloud of the book The Little Band and teaching children how to use their instruments - 30 minute "make and take" activity choice (homemade instruments, fresh flower crowns, or face painting). I will provide all the materials, and children can take their individual instrument, crowns, or face paint pack home as a party favor. If choosing flower crowns or face painting, I will provide hand held instruments for children to take on the parade. - 15-20 minute facilitated parade

You provide the location (within a 2 hour drive from Boulder), food, and decorations.

Add-Ons: Custom Song Commission - a birthday tribute, a lullaby, or a silly tune made for and about your child. I will sing the song during the party if booked at least one month in advance. You get a 10% discount on the song price when bundling with a party performance.
